“Just always be waiting for me.” — Peter Pan

Neverland, once you come, you never want to leave.

She glanced out the window, still smiling. “Dear Peter Pan, I’ve left my window open, please come and rescue me.”

She wakes up, unsure where is it. “This place it’s absolutely wonderful”. She said. Stay quite for a while being amazed by this place.

She got lost in the forest, she falls. A boy offers her a hand. She’s looking up. His eyes shined like an ocean in the summer sun, you might get lost in his deep ocean eyes. She takes his hand. He leads her to go into the forest.

The beauty of the forest comfort her hearts, the sounds of branches creaking, leaves rustling, and the birds singing. The smells of the pine tree, the animal scents, the earthy smells. She couldn’t take her eyes off these beautiful views.

“Do you have a compass?” Asked her to the boy.

“I don’t. We don’t need compass in here.” Answer the boy, still holding her hand.

“How could you know the right direction without compass?” Asked the girl, again. Feels confused.

“I lived here, it’s a place where you can’t find on a map. It’s a place between sleep and awake.”

“If it was a dream, then why it feels so real?”-The girl

“Do you wanna try to fly?” Asked the boy, took a pouch out of his pocket.

“I can’t fly.”

“I’ll teach you. I’ll teach you how to jump on the wind’s back, and then away we go.” The boy sprinkled the pixy dust on her.

“Oh look! I fly.”

“Now, we’ll go to neverland. Pixie dust, off to neverland, go!”

They stay together throughout her whole journey in Neverland. She was really enjoying her time in Neverland. Flying and playing around with the boy and the lost boys.

Until the time comes to leave. When the journey has ended and the reality will welcome her again.

The boy tells the girl that now it’s time for her to go back. The girl started to crying and hugs the boy who’d showed her all the wonders of Neverland. Now they both started to sobbing. The lost boys crying over them.

He wipes her eyes, looking deep into her. He gave her a necklace and asked her to keep this. He puts it on her neck, “Beautiful,” he said.

The boy tells her that he’ll never forget her. “You might forget about me, the lost boys, and everything about this place, but I’ll never forget you.”

“Will we meet again?” Asked the girl with gloomy eyes.

“Just always be waiting for me.” Said the boys, he takes her hand in his.

The girl just realized that he never asked about the boy name, “What’s your name?”

“Peter Pan.”

She’s opened her eyes, awakes from her long route sleep. She looks at the window, it’s still open. Her head feels dizzy, she tries to recall her dreams. It feels so real, but she couldn’t remember anything.

She grabbed her neck, the necklace. She didn’t remember where she’d got it. She walked to the window, she’s looking out, feels weird.

She forgets about everything. She forgets about the boy, the lost boys, and the place, Neverland.

After more than a year, the girl has grown up. She still keeps the necklace. Until one day, she opened her window and saw a note, it written:

“O hi! Looks how much you have grown, if you didn’t leave maybe you will not growing. Perhaps you forget me, but I’ll never forget you. Thank you for still keep the necklace. The lost boys missed you so much. Just always be waiting for me, I’ll come back.”

Warm regards,

-

She begins to tears up. Hold her necklace tight, hopes it will bring the boy to her. She sighing and smile, “Now I remember.”

Notes: This story is inspired by the novel of Peter Pan. The girl is not wendy.
